A drive through the Wedding Bells State Forest in the Coffs Harbour/Woolgoolga region you should stop to take a moment to see the subtropical rain forest which provides a habitat for many bird species. Stroll along side the Woolgoolga Creek to the lovely waterfall as it cascades over the rocks.

For those who of you who love the great outdoors, Woolgoolga and the Solitary Islands Marine Park region is great for fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming, surfing and coastal walks.

Woolgoolga Headland is the ideal spot to view the wonderful, majestic humpback whales during May through June and again September through October on their migration on the east coast of Australia from magnificent. Here they can be viewed close to the shore on their travels.  The Headland offers spectacular views up & down the coastline.

Woolgoolga also has several events held throughout the year. The Woolgoolga Curryfest is held over Easter. It is the town’s celebration of local multiculturalism, with a thrilling program of food, music and dance.

The Woolgoolga/Arrawarra area has a strong Indigenous Culture, 15 minutes north of Waterside Cabins is the Yarrawarra Cultural Centre and Cafe.  Here you can try some bush tucker or take home some of the exceptional Aboriginal Art available in the Centre’s Gift Shop.
